Yea, if it's for me, I'd deactivate. The debate is since this is my wife's car. Of course, location is okay during times of need. My hesitation is that location data is transmitted every 15 minutes. And is kept for 20 years (why keep it longer than what is needed for cases of accident or theft?). And then I don't know who has access to the data. Some joe blow? Or need to know only? But I get that I'm living on the grid. Perhaps there is no value in minimizing footprints. Perhaps if one is exposed a little, then they are exposed fully.
