Love these shots showing the A380 and a 737. What a difference.

One of Airbus’ biggest mistakes. A costly, fuel inefficient error.
Does that have more to do with rather the plane is full of paying passengers? Or has the 787, 777, A350 made the super jumbo obsolete?
The massive hub to hub theory of operating the 380 hasn't panned out. Add to the mix the very limited number of airports with infrastructure to handle a 380.
Boeing has banked on more flexible and smaller designs to access a wider variety of airports and yet maintain massive fuel efficiency and range numbers. They have also done a pretty good job of staying ahead of Airbus on wing design. The 777-X is going to deal with extra long wings by actually folding the wing tip like a carrier plane.
