Serenity now! |
My wife has tried for over 10 years to get me to move, and I just never wanted to. I have too many good memories in this house. But, with our girls getting married (and hopefully having kids one day), our old house was just too small to have everyone come home. So, after nearly 23 years, we're pulling up stakes and moving to a house with a little more room. I moved about every 1-2 years growing up. I have no idea how my parents managed. This has been, without a doubt, the most stressful period of life for both my wife and I. But yesterday, everything was finalized on the sale of our home and the purchase of our new one, and now we can start to move. This is actually all part of my evil master plan to slowly move closer and closer to Darthfuster, just so I can get in on his 'I'm arming my neighborhood' program Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice. ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ

My parents are in the process of selling their house in Ohio. We moved there in the fall of 1989. It was a Saturday and Ohio State was playing Michigan State. I entertained the possibility of trying to buy the house and going home Ohio but in over ten plus years I have not been able to find a job no matter how many apps i sent or interviews I attended. I hate moving, I hate packing etc.. I wish you the best on the move and I hope you have as many memories in the new house and you did the old one.

Congrats on the move. It’s amazing on how the stuff piles up over the years. After 12 years in the CLE, we are headed back to Denver. Today is loading day and it’s looking like we will have a full truck of ‘stuff’ We will never know world peace, until three people can simultaneously look each other straight in the eye Liberals are like pussycats and Twitter is Trump's laser pointer to keep them busy while he takes care of business - Rey HRH.

Congratulations, sounds like you've made a good decision. We moved from NJ to UT after 18 years in the same house, it was interesting. Hopefully I'm in my last home but you never know. ________________________________ "Nature scares me" a quote by my friend Bob after a rough day at sea.

Like you, I moved every couple of years while growing up as my father climbed the ladder with Ma Bell. We were in our last house 20 years while our two children went through the public schools. When they were both in college, I had a great job opportunity and we moved. Luckily, the company I joined footed the move so the prospect was fairly easy. We've been in our present house for 16 years and toy with the idea of downsizing. Our place is too big and requires too much seasonal maintenance. We keep on toying with the thought. Someday maybe. Congratulations! We just did the same. I’ll agree, the banks make it an unnecessarily stressful few weeks. The “lol” thread

On our most trusted News Source CBS News, they did a segment on this from the National Academy of Sciences that shows clearly that my little coastal town may be under water from coastal flooding as early as 2025. And due to those nasty "carbon emissions" Clearly it looks like I won't be needing a pool to swim in anymore because I could likely fish out the front door No question, I'm going to flee and move somewhere up north and away from any coastline, all while property values are still reasonable, I'm sure that some fishing camp or aquatic or environmental institute would snap up my property for an investment! Here's a map, my town is underwater Regards, Will G.

Congratulations on the move. We are in the process of getting our home of 16 years on the market, so I can relate to the stress. It is absolutely amazing the amount of junk that can pile up in a house. J Rak Chazak Amats

Damn straight. I've found that getting a house ready to sell, showing it and trying to buy another with everything that goes with that was easily one of THE MOST stressful periods of my life. And I've been to war with Saddam shooting Scud missiles at me.

Wait, what? |
Good for you. I’ve been at Casa de Gear for almost 14 years. Good location, seasons, hunting ease, excellent gun laws etc. will keep me here as long as humanly possible. But eventually it likely won’t be up to me “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

When I do manage to get outta here, I'd definitely love to get into someplace like lower Blue Ridge if possible. No more ocean for me. Regards, Will G.
