rbert0005A Place for Mom/ Patriot Angels
Anyone have any experience with dealing with them?
It's about VA subsidies for Vets.
Sounds WAY too good to be true.

4MUL8RMy wife rejected these as she was searching for her mom’s place.
If you go to the places, in person, and ask them who is a good consultant for elder living, you can usually connect with a person who is paid by the elder living companies, not you.

FredwardA Place for Mom-read the info VERY carefully. From what my wife and I read (and we each did) you give up custody of your relative to them and they can do what they will with him/her, including moving them without notice. This was a couple of years ago, my info may be out of date.

JR78They’re good to go. They worked the VA process for my Mom and she’s receiving $1515 a month based on my Dads wartime service. Yeah, it’ll cost, but it’s well worth it.

10X-ShooterTennessee has several State run/owned Veteran Homes (nursing home for veterans and their spouses. Work well with VA and very sensitive to their status as veterans. Most are fairly nice places. My uncle, a Vietnam veteran 11C is in the newest, nicest one in Cleveland TN. Maybe SC has something similar?

selogicA few years ago I called A Place For Mom. Waste of time . The woman just wanted to give me a list of Nursing Homes for me to contact . She made no effort to assess our situation and provide any assistance .
