I’ve been looking for a p365xl grip module in something other than black and can’t seem to find anything in stock other than those that have been stippled which I don’t want. I’m tired of looking at this point so I’m going the bubba route and I’m going to krylon one. What’s the best product to use to clean and degrease prior to spraying it? Thank you.

I would rather just beat it with a hammer to lower it's value.

It is your pistol to do with as you wish. I would make sure you remove the mag. release prior, in case paint gets into the mechanism and causes some issues. People paint there ar-15s all the time but painting polymer can cause issues with adhesion and eventually/possibly flakes of paint getting into places they shouldn't. Personally, I stay away from messing/coloring the polymer, unless you stipple the grip for a better gripping surface.

I couldn't tell you what is a good cleaning agent for polymer other than a decent degreasing dishwashing soap and water. I have dyed a few polymer items, only because I couldn't find the colored parts I wanted and they came out pretty good.

Kind of a smartass remark. If you had no intention of answering the question why did you respond at all. You realize how inexpensive these grip modules are right? I’ve got an extra one laying around.

Since it is just a $40 grip module sure why not? It also comes off easy.

Reduced value... Roll Eyes

Yeah, XLT is either an idiot or a smart ass, probably both. I got it for $20 on armslist, it’s got a couple of small dings in it.

Probably from someone beating it with a hammer to lower the value. Razz

Classy. And wrong on both counts.

Your thread, but do you really need to engage in name calling and put-downs of other forum members?

KRYLON Fusion (for plastic) should adhere following a thorough preparation.
