When I switched to winter tires last week they had been stored for a couple years and were all very low. The Viair 88P acquired on Black Friday aired all up to proper pressure in under 10 minutes and made me wonder how I'd lived without it for so long. It's not loud and is so much easier than hauling out the garage air compressor.
The next morning, one tire was flat and it turned out my TPMS sensors were mostly dead. Discount Tire recommended ordering new OEM sensors from Rock Auto where they cost much less, so a few days later I have new sensors installed and programmed by Discount Tire.
Those pumps really are handy. One thing I learned with mine, it runs better with the vehicle’s engine running.
I bought Schrader TPMS sensors from Rock Auto for the spare wheels for my truck. They were less than half the price of the Motorcraft branded ones ($22ea vs $47ea) and didn’t require programing like the slightly less expensive Bosch universal ones. All I did was the usual relearn procedure as if I had rotated the tires.

Discount Tire in our area is awesome. A good selection, friendly service, and great prices. All stores seem to have the same high standards. I've been doing business with them for at least the last 15 years. A side note, last time I tired up the Porsche I selected the tires and went to pay for them and noticed I left my wallet at home. They took my phone number which gave them my purchase history. I told them I was in a bit of rush and we could do it the next day. They said they'd mount them up and I could go do my errands and pay for them the next day by simply signing the invoice. That pretty much cemented my relationship with them.
I have been very satisfied with Discount Tire. Unfortunately, the closest one is 75 miles away. I shopped for a set of Michelins for my wifes' car and then priced the exact tires at my local Ford dealer. Ford has been pretty aggressive marketing replacement tires and their price was $100 less than DT. And, the dealer is 35 miles closer to home.
