Low-contrast photos offend my photographic sensibilities. Here's a tweaked version for you.

Naturally, the original is appropriate for its age in its native form (looks like a Polaroid), but now you have a newer version.

Hey, this is great! Thank you, para! The photo was emailed to me by a childhood friend so I do not know if it originally was a Polaroid or something else

My Dad met Ken Stabler many times and a bunch of other Raiders.

He worked in the Booking intake at Santa Rita Jail in Alameda county.

He told me that the Raiders had a fixer that would show up on Monday mornings and bail all the guys out!

I'm a life long Raider fan and that's about the age I was when the Raiders were good.

Great picture.

Yeah, yeah yeah...I know. I live in Bills country. I like them because of that, but they are not my favorite team. I imagine back in the day it was the only team apparel available in these parts. Wish I still had it; would probably be a valuable collector's item.

Nice pic. Were you a raiders fan ?
My son had a wrestling tournament at Foley High school in Foley, Alabama. Where Stabler played HS football and was a stud, also where he earned the Snake nickname. They have an entire trophy case in the hallway dedicated to him with his retired HS jersey and other trophies.

Did he make a mention of the Buffalo Bills belt buckle?

Great pic! And I thought the same thing. Even though this was 1976, the OP looked like he stepped right out of an episode of Leave it to Beaver. And that's a good thing!

I had me one of those belt buckles! No idea what team it was anymore, but I remember it. Smile

Probably came from the SEARS catalog.

I do remember having a Colts jacket somewhere around that time frame as well. Not because I liked the team, just because I liked the colors.

Snake had a Bertram 42 named Honky Tonk for a while. We’d see him at billfish tournaments pretty frequently.
