No, looks like the oldest model that can take iOS 26 is the 11 so you just missed it:

Evidently the “battery life” issue is temporary and impacts all major updates. After the install process, there is a lot of background stuff being done indexing files and whatnot that is the cause. Once everything is completed, battery life returns to “normal”

Okay, that is weird. My phone did an auto update a couple of days ago and looking at it right now, it says, iOS 18.7
I'M also at 18.7. if you got to software update look down at the bottom, you can upgrade to 26
They won’t “auto update” to a major version, only the sequential updates within a major version.
Have to specifically request the new one.

iPhone users claim Apple's iOS 26 update has RUINED their battery life - as one vents it's 'turning my phone into a brick' I don't like how these updates keep getting more and more bloated. 9.5 GB just to update your freaking phone? No wonder all the new ones have larger and larger storage, you'll need it just to keep up with all these huge update file sizes
They write an article like that every update. When you upgrade your ios version your phone has some extra housekeeping work to do on the first day or 2. That leads to the decreased battery life, and it resolves it self pretty quickly. Google any IOS update in the last 10-15 years and you’ll see the exact same complaint.

swampdogI’ve had no issues with the update on multiple phones, iPad, or Mac.

I don't like it. The glass theme reminds me of Windows ME. All we need is the bubble screensaver. I think Apple was going for "Fabulous!", yeah say it like I wrote it. It is annoying with all the animations and sparkle. I'm hoping they wise up.
While you can’t turn it off since it’s not a skin, you can reduce the effects by going to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size and toggle ‘on’ Reduce Transparency. You can see if that helps any.

mcrimmI did my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro and Mini Mac today. So far - all good

StorminNorminI just did the 18.7 upgrade. I will wait a bit before doing 26. I just ordered a new iwatch 11. My current was an iwatch 6. I usually wait about 5 years before upgrading a device.

StorminNorminI was forced to upgrade to 26 today on my work phone. I see no real difference other than they made stuff more visually transparent in the Lock Screen and in messages. No problems so far.

911BossWent ahead and upgraded my
(soon to be my wife’s) 15 Pro Max so I could get a sneak peak before my 17 PM arrives tomorrow as well as my Ultra 2 watch.
I also upgraded her iPad and 14+ that is going to be traded is so she can start with all the
”Hey, honey…” IT requests as she notices things different than what she is used to. I don’t expect her to notice much different than the case it is in as she is pretty non-tech.
Really liking the multi-window feature on the iPad. Still no problems to report
