Looks wicked cool. Maybe a foot rest in front of the TV?
Kinda jealous but my age makes me think twice about accumulating more stuff that no one else will care about. My nephew still doesn’t know he’ll one day inherit some nice weapons.

It’s spelled out step by step in this book.
It has opened my eyes to the incredible effort required to make Anvils .

Got a chance to talk to the Amish guy who I bought the anvil from.
He purchased it at an auction so there’s no history to be had.
To bad.

Hey GB,

Here's the one I mentioned upthread. According to the wife her Uncle had it for many years before giving it to us. That's all I know.

The only marking we could find is this, part of the casting it would seem. Would you take a look and see if it shows up in your reference?

Could you post a pic from the other side ?
The opposite side is where any remaining remnants of manufacturers markings will be.
But it looks to be a cast iron anvil vs forged.
Looks like you have a Fisher.

You can e-mail pics to me as well.

You’ll be looking for an eagle .
Something like on this old Fisher.

That is really neat. Thank you for the pictures and a good home for that anvil.

If you like religion, laws or sausage, then you shouldn't watch them being made.

I think that might just be a very faint Eagle I see in the center right, after a little poking around. What do you think?

The flash picks up a lot of detail you don't see on the actual piece.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like a Fisher.
Are there letters standing proud of the body?

Until you take a wire brush wheel on a drill to it, it’s to difficult to tell especially in photos to determine age.
But the features are correct.
