About 20 years ago, a buddy and I were hunting elk on a high pass in the Little Belt Mountains in Central Montana. It was cold. He frostbite his face. We had toilet paper in our saddle bags for the obvious reasons and decided to light a fire to get warm. We had a heck of a time getting a fire started with butane lighters and TP to start the kindling. We were pretty convinced that the combination of cold and altitude contributed.
