If you live in the southeastern U.S. there's probably a Publix supermarket near you.

Stop in to taste the free pi(e) on March 14.

Isn't March 14th also the men's counterpart to Valentine's Day?

All I know is that Tina is scheduled to work that day.

Hey, it's still pie. It's just...different, that's all.

I do wish we had a Publix close by the house.
It is the only place I grocery shop when at our place in Florida.

I used to like the Publix pies.....peach....dutch apple......etc..... but in the Publix bakeries at the stores by my house, the pies are never cooked enough and the crust is always doughy/mushy or not cooked all of the way..... I like the ones at The Fresh Market better, they have a Peach Praline pie that is really good.

Are they giving free samples on March 14?

Regarding the under-baked Publix pies: we just got one of those a couple weeks ago. Dutch apple, with a mushy crust. First time that this has happened to us.

Costco has very good apple pies, but they are huge and there are just two of us in the house, so that's a lot of pie to eat.

There is no Fresh Market near us any more. The local one closed its doors about two years ago, not long after the company was purchased by Apollo Global Management in 2016.

You do realize pie is an essential part of every meal...

We don't have a Publix near us but there is a Mennonite Cafe not too far that makes the best pies I have ever tasted. Six bucks each. We take one home every time we stop there.

I'm letting the pie-people in Duluth know you're two-timing!

Even so, it's still a month long endeavor.

My wife bakes the pies in our house. Her mother taught her how to make perfect crust from scratch and they come out perfect. My favorite is a huckleberry and peach pie she makes when the local peaches are ready for picking. If there is truly a heaven and I make it there, those pies will be available.
