There are several variables to consider including comorbidities, time to treatment, etc. I’ve seen a variety of wounds that you would think would be fatal but people survive and vice versa. Unfortunately a lot of the databases aren’t accurate because of lack of information or not understanding information or sheer laziness. Also some databases include self inflicted gunshot wounds.

The "stopping power" debate will never be fully answered. Too much of it lies in the opponent: mindset, determination, toxicology screen, and adrenaline dump. Nor do we have a national data base tracking the speed of collapse and such things.
