I ordered something from an Amazon seller, it arrived in a severely damaged package. Refused to accept, return to sender.

Walmart.com had the same item, so ordered it from them. Promised delivery was today, Friday, November 29. FedEx tracking showed that Walmart did not hand it over to FedEx on a timely basis, so of course FedEx could not deliver what had not been given to them.

So I did a chat session with Walmart customer service. They offered a 5% rebate for compensation. On a whim, I asked, "How about 15% ?"

Imagine my surprise when they said, "Sure, no problem."

Ask and you shall receive?

I still utilize that pretty often, usually with a bit of humor, but it rarely hurts to ask.
