Anyone pay for YouTube without ads?

Oz_ShadowAnyone pay for YouTube without ads?
Does it eliminate every single ad? I watch the videos daily and often let it play music on my drive in. It may be worth it if I can avoid every single pause for an ad.

mark123I do. I listen to YouTube to help me sleep so ads were no good. There are zero ads. I say it’s worth it. You also get YouTube music which is the best of the music streaming apps as it has more of the things I want to hear.
Oh, and you can share it with family.
I do hate that the money goes to google though.

nhracecraftNo. I don't even have an account!

shiftyvtecI pay for it and there are zero ads. What bugs me are the ads that the various host's that spend 3 minutes talking about their sponsors... basically unavoidable ads.
If you pay for premium, you get their music service for free by the way.
I'm not a music streaming connoisseur but I like it.

parabellumI don't see ads in youtube. I use a browser extension called
uBlock, works very well.

PykerI don't see ads in anything. I use Ghostery.

P250UA5Brave adblocker blocks them as well. I only get ads via the YT app on my phone or TV.

RogueJSKHell no, I don't bother to pay. The AdBlockPlus plug-in blocks all Youtube ads for free.

Does it work on your TV? About 60% of my YouTube viewing is on my TV. Well, at least during when I’m awake.

RogueJSKUnfortunately, no.
But I do 99% of my Youtube viewing on my computer.
And you could theoreticaly "cast" your computer to your TV if so inclined.

Suppose you could get a mini PC and connect it to an input, HDMI on the TV and use it to stream the videos with an ad blocker.
I run it on the Amazon fire stick, they are of course annoying, but, they pay the bills at utoob, if they don't have revenue the service will cease to exist...

mcrimmOur son in law purchased this plan which allows 2 other accounts. Me and our son share.

DanHYes. Most of my TV watching is on Youtube and I also use playlists to keep my brain distracted while going to sleep. While adblockers work on browsers, I don't know of one that I can install on a TV. That and with YouTube Music, it's 100% worth it to me.

sigarms229I pay and for me its worth it. Very rarely see or hear an ad. I tried the blockers but I never found them to work as well as advertised.
I joked with my teenage daughter (20) that I was going to stop paying for it as she has her login linked to my account. She piped up that she will start paying for it then and I can link mine to her account. I didn't take her up on the offer but I did smile.

CopefreeI pay for YouTube Premium, and have for years. I think it’s $11 or $12 per month. For the amount of time I spend on YT it’s more than worth it. I also like being able to easily download / store videos too, as part of the service.

AeteoclesYes. Worth every penny.
Also, I listen to music using YouTube Music. Throughout the house, while I'm driving, and on my phone. The YouTube Premium includes YouTube Music as well. It's like Spotify, allowing you to play specific songs on request. The voice integration with Google Assistant on all my devices is very good.

BisleyblackhawkThanks all…I’m gonna give those links a look-see…I ain’t gonna pay a dime to block The Tube Of You adds if possible

…if the listed blockers fail me, I might have to find other options!!!…but being a cheap ass old man I will give the freebies a solid shot first!

Batty67I watch a LOT of YouTube as many content providers for my hobbies are all over youtube. I probably watch 1-2 hours of youtube daily, more than TV and probably as much as streaming services. So, I definitely get my money's worth paying for ad-free.
