4 inches so far with a layer of freezing rain in between.
Big ass storm that stretched from Texas up through New England area.
Most businesses shut down early including mine. See what's up in the morning.

It started snowing here yesterday morning early and stopped today around noon. Dumped right at 12" on us. Schools closed yesterday thru Friday parts of the interstate closed due to jackknifed trucks. A nice layer of ice in between the two snowfalls for an added touch. Went to work yesterday for a few hours. Stayed home today, but went to Menard's to get some things for a my home office. Snow doesn't bother me unless we are talking2+ foot of the stuff!

I'm in eastern Iowa (Quad Cities) a mile from the Mississippi River and yesterday all we got was a dusting. In areas of IL SE of us they got a LOT more as p08 said.

Another storm is coming up from the SW but it's not supposed to affect us.

It's coming down here good. Forecast say 4-8 more inches overnight supposedly. Have a feeling I'll be closed tomorrow.

I'll be up early to see what it's like and make a decision then but I may call it here in a hour or so.

Started with rain, then freezing rain, about .25"+, then sleet, so far 3"+ of that, suppose to get anywhere from a dusting to 4"+ of snow. Went from 36° to 25° with a real feel of 9°.

School called out for today @ 4:00 pm yesterday, School called out tomorrow @ 3:00 pm today. The next question is, what about the field trip on Saturday?

It's impacting plans and travel half way around the world. My schedule changed and I'm nowhere near texas through New England, at the moment.

10" of snow mixed with freezing rain. Lots of fun.
I'm at my business to let the plow guy in but that's it.
Employees texting me and I told them to stay home.

It's snowing lightly again here at home.Got a light dusting overnight. Looks like powdered sugar.
Had freezing rain most of yesterday. Trees and power lines are coated with ice. It's worse just a few miles north.

In my area and f Cincinnati we got almost nothing but tiny ice pellets that have compacted into about 3”-4” of rotten ice. I didn’t bother shoveling my driveway or aide the ice was packed solid enough that I could drive on top of it! Main roads are mostly clear now, but the smaller truck are having a hell of a time clearing parking lots, and shoveling walks is murder on your back.
