You're catchin' flack when you're over the target.

Question: Is the U.S. Government (it's elite politicos) tied up in the corruption problem that's rampant in Ukraine?

Cryptic message from Solomon.

Does it matter really? He's a investigative reporter a good one at that but with power to do nothing about nothing other than to report upon it. Just like Sundance, Digenova and the rest of them. All good men doing good jobs but we are long past written words.
Something needs to be done. Action needs to be taken to stop this unchecked damage the rabid democrats are doing to this country. The fabrication from whole cloth of the lies being used to harass a duly elected president. While it is documented and with ample evidence of the treasonous crimes committed by Hillary, Comey McCabe, Strozk, Biden the Ohr's and the rest of them. Yet no one is interested in doing anything about it. All we get are promises of declassification of all the smoking guns supposedly in possession of all the good doers on our side.

Yet the Democrats are allowed to run unchecked attacking our president. Seems everyone in the Trump administration who has any power to bring anything down on the Democrats turns out to be one of them. The whispers are starting from these investigative journalists that Barr may be a protector of the deep state.

Trump's a warrior of the type we haven't seen before. But it almost appears he is wearing down. He's look more wore down and tired than I have ever seen him. Who wouldn't, the guy is fighting a war on multiple fronts by himself.

Somebody damn well better put these democrats on the defensive like they have never imagined and soon. Make them spend all their time defending themselves and there will be no time to fabricate lies to unseat the president they will be too busy fabricating lies to keep themselves out of prison. Yeah I'm sure that will be happening right after the declassification of all these documents I don't need to see. Let me see them when they are being used in court as evidence against the traitors to this country.

Well, just what do you think will be done? You don't even want an honest reporter working on the story. You act as if investigative journalism has never made a speck of difference. "we are long past written words"? What does that mean? You gonna start a revolution? Lets ignore the facts? Don't bother to investigate, but somebody better do something about it?

Does that about sum it up? Where does all of that get you?

I have another, longer view on this to consider.

It seems like a lifetime ago when people like Mark Levin and Mark Meckler and etc. were calling for a Convention of the States under Article V.

Where has that talk gone?

I never, personally, agreed that was the right course to save America.

I still think the Constitution is fine; we just needed a better president and better representatives to pull the same words into proper use.

Now we have this man, Trump, who is doing his darndest to root out corruption and return government to its proper focus.

Swamp things don't like it and they're fighting him at every turn - using all the dirty tricks and subversion their minds can conceive.

Trump's now examining the corruption found in Ukraine and his drag is pulling up quite unsettling relations between what may be corrupt American politicians and the Ukrainian swamp.

A cornered animal lashes out. Could it be that the swamp creatures are trying hard to keep from being detected?

To root out the sickness/subversion under our Constitution, we may not need a Convention of the States but, rather, stronger representatives that can take the heat of those made uncomfortable.

It seems the Democrats and other insider miscreants are drawing attention to a rather weak spot in their corrupted network.

Trump is ranting (rightfully so) about the Dems gridlocking because of the Ukraine Witch Hunt but says they can't talk about "Gun Regulation" among other stuff. Eek
Seems that might be a blessing out of all of this...as we don't need or want any of that anyway. Smile

It seems clear to me what he's doing when he says that there's no time to talk about gun regulation. He's also said that the Dem nonsense has put the USMC trade agreement on hold.

Have you not heard him say several times lately- including in his address to the United Nations- that "the United States will always uphold our right to keep and bear arms. We will always uphold our Second Amendment."? That's directly from his speech two days ago at the UN.

When he says "there's no time to talk about gun regulation", he's talking to the Dems in the House of Representatives, and not to gunowners of America. He's saying to them "You are defeating your own interests". He doesn't actually mean "gun regulation." You think Donald Trump is going to take your AR15? You think he's going to ban it? Donald Trump is so fed up with these commie assholes, they'll be lucky to get even strengthened background checks.

I've gotten all kinds of sideways with a number of people over this. My best friend, close family members, and on and on. I've been called a boot-licker and a Trump sycophant by people who I thought loved me because they got caught up in the fucking hysteria. These same people have stated that they won't vote for him in 2020 or vowed to go scorched-earth and vote for the socialist candidate in order to speed up the demise of our great democratic republic because the man said some shit that hurt them right in their feels.

I'll wager on another four years of Trump and the people that used to like me (short list) can suck on whatever bodily appendage of whomever they choose if they don't like it. Harris, Booker, Warren, Biden, Castro, Bob the Fake Mexican, the Yang Gang, and Pete the Booty Judge? Yeah, those fuckers are coming for our rifles and everything black plastic and scary that they can reasonably grab for, AND THEY'RE ADVERTISING IT AS IF IT SELLS.

Trump says all kinds of shit and does what he does and if he does eventually try to "take the guns first and go through due process second," I'll deal with it the same way I would deal with any of those fucktards listed above. But I'm betting on Trump not wanting to go down burning all bridges. After all, he said that in February, 2018. He's already been embattled with ferocity his entire presidency. You think a guy that builds high rises that brandish his name in 10 foot letters, who never had a clear political affiliation before running for president doesn't care about trying to attain a positive legacy with the base that voted him in? I dunno about any of those other fuckers, but Trump has been doing a bang-up job and just because he hasn't been our Saviour of the 2A, I'm not going to vote to ride us off the cliff. It might be well for some who reckon we just need to kick off the next one "before I'm too old to play also" to stop sippin' the bottle of stupid and have a think instead.

He most certainly has been our savior on the Second Amendment, because without Donald Trump in the 2016 election, you would now have President Hillary Clinton, and there would be no Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. There would be no Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. There would be two- no, three new leftists on the Supreme Court, because that pickled crone Ginsburg would be gone, and would have been replaced by someone who would be on the court for years. And don't forget the lower Federal courts as well, now being packed with conservative judges; 150 of them so far, and counting. Without Donald Trump, we would be in a world of shit, and understand what I'm saying- I'm talking about Donald Trump and only Donald Trump being the reason Hillary Clinton isn't slithering around the White House right now, working on her ninth highball of the evening. No other Republican candidate in the race would have defeated her. You know it's true.

This is the thing that amazes me- some people who voted for Donald Trump get up every morning and fail to recognize how horrible- truly horrible- conditions would be in this country without him. He saved our asses. You'd better believe he did, and it goes far, far beyond your firearms.

God smiled on this nation in November, 2016. Don't forget it. Count your blessings.

It seems that you attribute cynical and anarchic thoughts to President Trump while indulging a fatalistic defeatism.

What is this stuff about him "going down?" What is this stuff about "burning all bridges" down? Only the most unrefined thinking will jump to those possible realities.

I don't think Trump is only in favor of the 2nd Amendment because of your or my firearms support.

With his sons being avid hunters and his view that people should be able to defend themselves, I find it hard to believe that he'd have some tantrum to pay the firearms community back for some slight he might, hypothetically, feel in the future.

As far as "legacy" motivating his actions, maybe all presidents care about how they will be remembered. But, Trump seems to want to be remembered for what he accomplished.

I don't think he sees things in terms of preening his legacy with those who voted him in. He's looking for accomplishments and a stronger America that's a legacy for all.

But, maybe I misunderstand what you were stating. Razz

It could be that you're having words with those around you because they need to hear less cynical views of just what may motivate President Trump.

The White House • September 26, 2019

The swamp is beyond parody, but the American people aren’t laughing

There are a handful of real, pressing concerns on the minds of American families today.

They want pro-worker trade deals such as USMCA. Affordable prescription drug prices. Strong border security. Real gun safety. Even a bit of progress on any one of these issues would bring a huge sigh of relief from citizens that Washington is finally putting them first.

While this checklist is only a start, all of these items have something important in common: Congress could have taken meaningful action on any one of them this week.

Instead, Congressional Democrats chose to dedicate their time to yet another political circus hearing, this time about a “whistleblower” report. This latest conspiracy theory alleges that the Trump Administration tried to cover up a transcript of a phone call between President Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine.

The White House has made the call available for all to see, but that’s not even the best part. It turns out the “whistleblower” had no first-hand knowledge of anything being alleged.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Of course, the political theater took over Washington once again with wall-to-wall coverage from the left’s usual media allies. It was yet another week completely wasted for Congress, who has real work to do keeping its promises to American voters. But like cats chasing a laser pointer, Democrats and their surrogates are jumping at anything that moves if it means they can avoid actually having to get anything done for a little bit longer.

The scariest part? This might only be the beginning. With House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s caucus increasingly dominated by a radical left wing that demands open borders, socialized medicine, and a complete government takeover of the economy under euphemisms like the “Green New Deal,” political theater for the adoring liberal press may be the only thing holding the left together. Democrat leaders have no power against the rising Democratic Socialist stars in their party, so they have no choice but to give in to their childish antics.

So while Democrats in Congress have thrown nearly 3 years down the drain as a result, President Trump is keeping his focus on what matters to working Americans, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said today:

“Nothing has changed with the release of this complaint, which is nothing more than a collection of third-hand accounts of events and cobbled-together press clippings—all of which shows nothing improper. The President took the extraordinary and transparent steps of releasing the full, unredacted, and declassified transcript of his call with President Zelensky, which forms the heart of the complaint, as well as the complaint itself. That is because he has nothing to hide. The White House will continue to push back on the hysteria and false narratives being peddled by Democrats and many in the mainstream media, and President Trump will continue to work hard on behalf of the American people as he always does.”

https://www.whitehouse.gov/1600daily/

Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

Here is an excerpt of an affidavit to a European Court by Viktor Shokin, the Ukraine Chief Proecutor whose dismissal was forced by Joe Biden. This affidavit was cited in John Solomon's recent column for the hill, cited by HighZonie, above.

quote:
The circumstances of my dismissal were that I tendered my resignation to the Rada at
the request of President Poroshenko. Poroshenko asked me to resign due to pressure
from the US Presidential administration, in particular from Joe Biden, who was the US
Vice-President. Biden was threatening to withhold USO$ I billion in subsidies to
Ukraine until I was removed from office. After I yielded to the President's request and
submitted my voluntary resignation, Poroshenko commented about it in the media. He
said that I had carried out a colossal amount of work as General Prosecutor. which is
something none of my predecessors had been able to do, especially with regards to my
work on reforming the different bodies of the prosecutor's office, on creating the
Specialised Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. which enabled the National AntiCorruption
Bureau of Ukraine to conduct legal work. and on creating self-governing
prosecution authorities.
7. The official reason put forward for my dismissal was that I had allegedly failed to
secure the public's trust. Poroshenko and other state officials. including representatives
of the US presidential administration. had never previously had any complaints about
my work, however. There were no grievances against me or any allegations that had I
committed any corruption-related (or, indeed any other) criminal offenses. Biden never
stated anything of the kind either. Fu11hermorea,l l sanctions in respect of Yanukovich
and his suppo11ers remained in force and were not lifted whilst I occupied the post.
Moreover, these sanctions were extended.
8. The truth is that I was forced out because I was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into Burisma Holdings ("Burisma''), a natural gas firm active in Ukraine. and Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was a member of the Board of Directors. I assume Burisma, which was connected with gas extraction, had the support of the US VicePresident Joe Biden because his son was on the Board of Directors.
9. On several occasions President Poroshenko asked me to have a look at the criminal
case against Burisma and consider the possibility of winding down the investigative
actions in respect of this company, but I refused to close this investigation. Therefore.
I was forced to leave office, under direct and intense pressure from Joe Biden and the US administration. In my conversations with Poroshenko at the time. he was emphatic that I should cease my investigations regarding Burisma. When I did not, he said that the US (via Biden) were refusing to release the USO$ I billion promised to Ukraine. He said that he had no choice, therefore, but to ask me to resign.

Link: Shokin Affidavit (Scribd)
This was discussed on Hannity tonight, I believe it was Victoria Tensing who mentioned this affidavit.

Bottom line: Shokin insists that it was Biden's pressure that got him fired, and that Biden pushed because Shokin was investigating Hunter Biden's role on the Burisma board.

There appears to be plenty of true "smoking gun" evidence of Biden's corruption, if investigators want to look at it.

Good Lord. Reading that 12 page affidavit alleges a lot of bad actions by Biden - up to and including some affiliation with a potential murder scheme.

I remember seeing Rudy Giuliani quite animated the other day, saying he always thought that Biden was just not a very bright person. But, upon completing his preliminary Ukraine investigation, Giuliani concluded that Biden is more - essentially, a corrupt and depraved criminal.

That affidavit, if true, gives a lot of credence to Giuliani's new epiphany.

No wonder Biden doesn't want to talk about it.
