I'm very grateful for the lack of tabloid content on OANN's site

None of this softcore porno shit about some washed-up 55 year old actress "looking stunning in a plunging bikini". Every day on Fox's site- every freaking day- they have shit like that. Or, the lurid and the grotesque-"Watch a mongoose eat a duck on a London street", or a "Watch a porpoise choke to death on a squid". Think I'm kidding? Then, you must not visit their website.

Oh, how 'bout Hollywood gossip shit, with this country music star seen out and about with that married reality TV star.

How 'bout so-and-so's daughter "throwing shade" at some other celebrity. I don't even know what the fuck that means!!!

Goddamn, I'm so sick of all of it. "Judge Sour Grapes" Napolitano, Shepherd the fanny bandit Smith. Donna who-the-fuck-are-you-anyway Brazille. Marie it's-too-nuanced-for-you-rednecks Harf.

Fucking half-assed National Enquirer-wannabe PHONIES!!

You'll get none of that on OANN. Yeah, they're content seems dry, because we're all gorged on the high fructose corn syrup, partially-hydrogenated sorry-ass excuse for a news organization called FOX.

FOX bringing in Donna Brazille and Marie Harp (Malibu Barbie) was a huge mistake and only further diminished their credibility.

I only watch Fox News for the Tucker Carlson and Hannity shows.

Other than the evening lineup, Fox is anti Trump and I don't watch anything else they have on at all.

House Freedom Caucus Lawmakers Demand Adam Schiff’s Recusal From Impeachment Inquiry
BY JANITA KAN
October 10, 2019

THE EPOCH TIMES > https://www.theepochtimes.com/...inquiry_3111822.html

"Members of the House Freedom Caucus have called on House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) to recuse himself from the impeachment inquiry he has led against the president.

In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a dozen GOP lawmakers, including Chairman Andrew Biggs (R-Ariz.), argued that Schiff is not qualified to lead the investigation because of his panel’s interactions with a whistleblower who filed a complaint about a call President Donald Trump made with Ukraine’s president. Those interactions were found to have taken place before the complaint was actually filed.

“His interactions with the whistleblower make him a potential fact witness and his actions thus far have demonstrated that he is not qualified for this serious responsibility,” the lawmakers wrote in their letter.

The letter also said Schiff must answer questions about his interactions with the whistleblower under oath.

Being in contact with a key witness and then lying about it renders Adam Schiff unqualified to lead a fair and just inquiry. Members of the House @FreedomCaucus call on Speaker Pelosi to request the immediate recusal of Adam Schiff. pic.twitter.com/zYpK5Z0DAl

— House Freedom Caucus (@freedomcaucus) October 9, 2019

“The public knows little else about Chairman Schiff’s dealings with the whistleblower because Chairman Schiff has failed to disclose the interaction,” the letter states. “When asked directly whether the committee had any contact with the whistleblower, Chairman Schiff lied and said no.” .....

I haven't watched television news - FOX or otherwise - in probably 2 years. I listen to Andrew Wilkow and Mark Levin on Patriot Radio when I'm in my car or I get my News from various blogs that I trust and enjoy.

TV news has become a cess pool. Very hard to get any reliable info from any of the TV news show. I don't even Hannity anymore because he seems as reflexively pro-Trump as MS-NBC is reflexively anti-Trump.

And when did Drudge become so Anti-Trump? Wasn't always like that. Did something happen to turn him?

I can't stand Napolitano-he's wrong,IMO, so often. And I have never liked Shepherd Smith, nothing to do with his lifestyle, I just always thought he was smug and fake.

The rest, I've never watched them except Hannity and I stopped that many years ago.

I really don't watch news on TV and use the computer websites. I used to rely on Drudge, but he's kinda gone off the rails, so I deleted his site.

Fox is getting worse and worse. Para's comments about the site are spot on. So, I'm trying to warm up to OANN, it's taking a while.

If you have either an Amazon Fire TV, or Apple TV streaming device you can subscribe for $5/mo.

Last I looked they still didn't have an Android TV app. Don't know if they have a Roku app.
I don't have any of those. I have cable TV and Internet and a Jitterbug flip phone (and a landline). If none of those make things available, then I do without.

Para, I do not think they have the guts. They will cower in bed the morning after. It just will not happen. Alcohol delivery services will be maxed out. I will bet you a new SIG pistol that there wil not be civil unrest en masse. I think there will be a sick calm and that losers will be under the influence. They just do not have the fortitude to cause problems. They will be texting, posting, and drinking. They will NOT be out in the streets. Trust me.

You're sadly mistaken if you think that these psychos fear us. And you need to watch that video before you comment, because it's not talking about next year's election. Watch the video.

I believe that does not represent the Dem electorate. Most are middle aged and older dems. they have "something to lose". Ignore the Millennials. They are narcissists. They are not going to do a damn thing other than send emails to the Washington Post etc. They do not have the guts to create serious chaos. Just my take. They are pussies. I do not worry about them one bit. When the rubber meets the road and money and reputations are involved, most will back off. They are chickenshit. And they have no ground to stand on.

Man, that video is more than 15 minutes long. There's no way that you've watched it since either you posted, or since I responded to your post, telling you to watch it.

Watch. the. video.

Para,

Thanks for the video.

ETA - I had a longer response. But honestly, the scale of events and the pace with which they’re happening is getting the better of me. Fortunately, Para has shown good instincts for keeping an eye on the ball.

it's the NYT, but the author is Peter Schweizer (Clinton Cash)

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/1...ats-the-problem.html

The article highlights the problem that family members of politicians can legally get wealthy from foreign companies.

He uses the Bidens and the McConnells as examples.

"The problem more broadly is that we rely on a hodgepodge of laws that lack the clarity and bright ethical lines found in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. That needs to change. International bribery laws clearly state that if a person or entity pays a politician’s family member and gets favors in return, it’s an act of bribery; it’s no different from the politician taking the money himself."

The Biden campaign sent an angry letter to the New York Times Wednesday evening, taking the newspaper to task for investigating the seemingly corrupt dealings of the Biden family in the Ukraine.

What seems to have sparked the tirade from the Biden campaign was an op-ed the New York Times published earlier in the day by Peter Schweizer, the brilliant investigative journalist with a knack for exposing corrupt politicians
