As if anyone knows for certain how Trump and his advisors would have handled the withdrawal if he was still POTUS. Horse shit. JC

and he's careful not to mention how many Americans are on those flight or how many are left. Gosh this guy is something else. Nope, just 10's of thousands of people...how many of those were military aged Afghanistani males?

. True, but don't you believe he would have executed a well thought out plan with the military, American citizens, and our allies? P229

The best analogy I've heard: There's a big party in the hot tub going on, one of the attendees (Joe Biden) announces he's getting out, as he gets out and dries himself, on the way out the door, he turns off the pump, opens the drain and then turns-off the lights on everyone else still remaining in the hot-tub.

A Grateful American |
I do not know for certain, nobody does. That admitted, I do know Trump's legacy of most of his life, and things he stated several decades ago, and that he continues to hold that line. And the 4 years of his presidency, with very few exceptions, the platform he campaigned on, he kept and accomplished those things where he was not stopped by fratricide or the continual obstruction and bullshit manipulation from the leftists, or the interference from the mainstream media. Yeah, he would have likely handled things a whole lot better. That I believe. But we do not have Trump, we have a fucking used condom with whom knows who's hand is wearing it today. That is the reality, and all Americans are damned well stranded right now, inside and outside Afghanistan. Apparently the "optic" of taking pre-approved questions with carefully crafted answers listed in Biden's binder, wasn't working out for them...maybe that last minute question that he decided to take on the way out the door in the last press conference proved to be too potentially damaging, and his handlers couldn't risk his answering any further questions.

is circumspective |
That's it. You've managed to put into words what I've been feeling for the last six months or so. Stranded. Well said. The level of fuckery these traitors have been involved in cannot be explained any way other than deliberate. One cannot so consistently make exactly the wrong moves to degrade the US at every turn by coincidence. The law of averages says they'd have to occasionally do it right, if only by accident. Nope, this shit's deliberate & they're running a (mostly) undeclared war against us, the American people. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. On his radio program, Dr. Sebastian Gorka has twice now reported that his sources have informed him that orders have been quietly given to security personnel at U.S. airports where Afghan evacuees are arriving that if the Afghans attempt to leave the group or leave the airport that NO attempt is to be made to intercept or detain them.

My comment was directed at the talking heads trying to lay blame at his feet. I firmly believe by his actions as President and supported by his recent comments on the issue he would have handled it better. JC

And this assclown thinks he is just going to walk away from all this and everyone will forget in a week what happened? No, I think the real trouble has yet to begin. Wait until scenes of stranded Americans being beheaded start showing up on the Internet and the news, God forbid.

Names, we need to keep track of names. Many on the Left are attempting to spin this already, as an inevitable consequence of conservative foreign policy errors and/or, working to obfuscate their own errors and miscalculations. Books, articles and think pieces will be published for the foreseeable future, attempting to re-frame this time in history. Currently the most often myth being brought up as a comeuppance is the idea that the CIA funded the mujahideen's war against the Soviets and supplied them with arms and the current events happening is a direct, straight-line result. While we (the US and the CIA) did support the mujahideen and yes, we provided Stinger hand-held, anti-air missiles, the lynchpin to the 80's war was funding by Gulf Arab states and the acquisition of heavier weaponry, through Pakistan via China and Egypt. The supply flow of RPGs, mortars and radios from China and rifles & ammunition from Egypt was much more pivotal and influential than the CIA's contributions. Shooting down a handful of Hind helicopters is great PR and marketing for the firm manufacturing those Stingers, irregardless of their role in the overall conflict. The below names are somewhat obvious but, let make sure we don't forget them and add a few more as the light begins to shine on their failure, hat-tip to CDR Salamander for quotes: * Joe Biden, POTUS- The buck stops with you. * Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor- You're an academic and should stay there, you have no business on the world stage, the enemy has a vote, get it through your head and re-evaluate your 'theories'. Your advice to POTUS was horrible, if your advice was ignored, you should've resigned. * Anthony Blinkin, Secretary of State- You were out of your element with the Chinese in Anchorage, your stumbles there was a precursor of things to come. Diplomacy isn't like the yearbook planning committee, there is an actual enemy out there and you fail to grasp that concept. * Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense- As the former CENTCOM commander, you knew all about the House of Cards that is Afghanistan for a decade at-least, longer if you'd paid attention to your junior officers; you were apart of the problem that has existed between the senior military leaders and Congress. Your inability to have the military prepared and ready for all contingencies (PACE planning general, remember the acronym?) could've mitigated what we currently see on the ground. If POTUS ignored your advice, you should've resigned ASAP, you're a civilian appointee. * Gen Mark Milley, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff- As the senior military advisor to POTUS, you failed to have a prepared military. If you had a more prudent plan than what we're seeing and POTUS ignored your recommendations, you should've tendered your resignation. Your obligation is to the American people and those in uniform, there's more people in uniform deployed around Wash DC for security, than on the ground in Kabul, you need to re-evaluate your priorities. * Gen Mark McKenzie, current Central Command commander- you own the battle space here, you had all the information and the assets to effect this situation. If your recommendations were ignored, you also should've resigned. * Ross Wilson, acting US Ambassador to Afghanistan- your bosses hung you out to dry and were likely under equipped and supported. Upon your return to the US (you better be the last one departing), I highly recommend you submit your resignation. Time will tell how supportive you were to your own staff and the challenges they face. * Pakistan- I have little sympathy as to what awaits your future, you've sown the seeds to your own destruction. Your duplicitous actions of encouraging Islamists and, sheltering of bin Laden and the Haqqani network are the biggest contributors to this time in history. Enjoy your little moment of celebration, your end is coming and I will be laughing. I predict within 5-years, you will fall into a civil war as Islamic radicals gain momentum. Your obsession with Indian at the expense of your own people reveals a cultural neurosis that has no cure. The silver lining to your downfall will also result in the halting of China utilizing your port in Karachi for its Belt & Road Initiative strategy. whom else to assign the black mark?
