I live out in the country and its been about 3 years since the triplet puppies came to live with us.
This little girl was yipping and crying at 2 am this morning and my big Rottie was barking. I turned on the outside lights and as I walked out I heard the whimpering out by the back fence. I picked her up and put her on my side and said "come on". She followed me to the garage, I made up a bed with water and food... Meet #9 this will be our 9th dog unless there is a really good home here in SC that will meet me to take her.

Yeah, she will probably be staying... The face and eyes, plus my wife (a vet) gave #9, her puppy shot and moved her in the house.

Obviously the word has spread you will take and care for drop off dogs. That or the animal runaway railroad leads thru your house. Here I have none and you have nine! And I am certain you are the better for it. Man! God sure knew what he was doing with puppy eyes.

border collie.

I would think she belongs to someone. She is a real cutie. Good for you to find her.

I'm pretty sure she is more of a heinz 57 I've had several Border Collies including the triplets that were dumped up on our road 3 years ago.
I don't have any neighbors close. I've heard barking down in my deep woods since December, I'd bet there is or was a mama dog and other pups. This one just happened to head in the right direction hearing or smelling my other dogs.

Very cool of you and nice that you have the resources and skills to take great care of them.

My youngest daughter has adopted a starving stray cat that started showing up on our patio and hanging out in our backyard.

It won't let anyone get close (yet) so she puts food out in the yard for it on a twice a day schedule. That cat has already gotten the times down. Big Grin

She instinctively knew who would give her a good home. You're both lucky to have found each other.

What a little sweet heart. Its what I'd call a great find. I am for now, all out of stray cats to feed here. The one female was a domestic which rode 35 miles north in the back of her dads truck. She is, after living here for 5 weeks, back on their farm. The latest one is another coyote victim sad to say. He was a large Oreo feral which I fed for two weeks. Was hoping that big guy would be around for a while.

Animals have a sense of who to trust. Good on ya for taking them in.

I am "between" dogs. If a cutie like that showed up at my door, she would be part of the pack in 3, 2, 1, done.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

If that puppy had showed up on my doorstep, she would have had a home. Cat would have had to learn to coexist.

What a beautiful face! I would not have been able to resist either. We now have a feral cat living with us that no longer has interest in outside. I think they find us.

After helping my bud cross the rainbow bridge last night I am kind of hoping another will find us.

Good looking pup, & good on you for looking after her. Hey, at least you're married to a vet.
