My son brought over a bag of Funyuns he thought felt very light and almost empty. I felt it and told him to hang on a minute and we would check it out. It was close to being empty!

You ever get an empty bag?

On the flip side, I have a buddy who love Takis (a spicy rolled corn chip from Mexico that is popular in the South/Southwest), and he buys the bulk boxes of those same type of snack-sized bags at Sams Club.

He says it's not uncommon to run across "double-stuffed" Takis bags filled with twice the normal amount. He's shown me some of those before. They're so full that the bag has basically zero air space in it.

And thus, the snack chip universe is in balance. Big Grin For every empty Funyuns/Frito-Lay bag, there's bound to be a double-full Takis bag.

If you ever toured a food packaging plant you could see this happening. The line moves very quickly and this is the result. Send them an email with a pic and they might send you a case of chips

I've opened fast food condiment packets and found them empty, many times. Mostly salt & pepper empty packets, but others as well. Always grab more than you think you'll need.

Had a pair of similarly empty sealed La Croix seltzer cans last year. Switched to Polar anyhow and have had no issues since.

I did the same with Pepsi. Of course this was the days before websites and internet comments were plastered all over packaging.
I called the 1-800 number on the fan told them the deal.
They asked for all the number on the bottom of the can.
They were very thankful I called and they sent me a coupon book of 10 free 24 packs of Pepsi products.

Not empty but I got a Craftsman socket without lettering. They wouldn't exchange it.
I also got an unstamped penny. It's probably worth twice as much that way.

Opened a bag of bbq chips to find plain old regular chips.

1/2 x 3/8 reducing bushing which they forgot to thread the internal 3/8.

Know a guy who just got his rear sight for a Colt anaconda, had come from the factory with it missing.
