Need the best shallow socket/outlet kitchen popup / access set, only have 3 inches to play with
Doing a kitchen remodel, and not a lot of space has been left to accommodate outlet popups from through the granite. I have 3 inches, essentially, of product depth to work with. Anyone with a recommended solution?

Interesting, we were discussing adding power to the counter top/island, might have to look into these I like the ones with power and USB connectivity.
Found one that is under 2 inch under a 3cm counter top, you might have to check with them to be sure
I haven't used them but it appears this model would fit the max height constraints.

OK - I never knew this was even a thing for a kitchen counter. While on perimeter still prefer to have in wall, this is a great idea for an island instead of just having on ends. Perhaps.
We are on early stages of a build (framing) and I am going to have to introduce that as an option for builder and wife on the huge island in plans.
No doubt this will be another case of SF spending my hard-earned money....

We thought about these. We just put extra outlets on the wall behind the counter.
Leaves more space on the counter for stuff and no where for liquid spills to go.
We also put two right under the counter on the Island. Those rarely get used.
Would this work? They go in the drive side of the socket and then use a wrench, or ratcheting wrench, to turn the socket.

However, I think it is a standard outlet. What outlet do you have? Most of the pop up or tip up options are all in one and you shouldn't need to purchase an outlet for it. If the outlet wasn't included you may have to go to the manufacturer of the box and see what they recommend.

Our islands are two levels which leaves room for outlets to be installed on the vertical face between the two levels.

Just a thought, as we finished a total rebuild of our kitchen, which included new cabinets over the counter. Instead of going through the counter top or backsplash/wall, we had some stylish, albeit expensive outlet strips mounted under the lip of the cabinet every couple feet where they are invisible. They were available in a number of lengths and configurations, so we have quite a few around the perimeter of our cabinetry. We included a few USB ports.

This is the sort of thing. challenge being the very shallow depth to which we can go. Some of these go down a foot.

We went in a completely different direction with our new house. I didn't want anything on the counter OR backsplash.
We are very happy with this electrical rail system. Outlets, switches, lights, USB- it's a very modular system.

Yes, we are doing that in another area, but we have a locked in area by window and walls. This has been remediated to a more standard depth option with a slight shift through cabinet side walls
