ZSMICHAELHere is the line from the story which I did not want to post due to its nature. Perhaps it will provide a clue.
Angelia Mia Vargas, 24, is charged with deadly conduct and discharge of a78 firearm in the Saturday afternoon incident.

steve495That's what you call a typo.
For some reason the a '78' was added and the copy editor missed it or made the mistake themselves.
At least that's what I think.

P220 SmudgeSimple typo that some nitwit editor didn’t catch.

It is WGN they usually do not make these mistakes, and if so somebody from the Chicago area calls. Who knows. I thought maybe Jennings made something like that. LOL

BOATTRASH1I have no idea what the 78 is. But this is a story about a dimwit “mom” who accidentally shot her young son while trying to shoot a boxer puppy who had bolted out the front door of his home. This was in N Houston.

Opus DeiMaybe it's broken coding? I've seen times where ampersands in particular won't display properly. Sometimes it's a string of gibberish or just a number.
