This is being held in my little town of Walsenburg. My dad, a Vietnam War submarine veteran, is the one getting this all setup.

If you happen to be driving through southern Colorado this weekend, or perhaps want to just make the trip, that would be great. For those that haven't seen this travelling memorial, it truly is breath taking.

I have had the privilege to provide motorcycle escort as well as help set up and tear down the travelling memorial wall twice. The turn out of the communities we traveled through was heartwarming. It restored my faith in American Patriotism.
Ever try to ride a motorcycle with tears in your eyes?
I just wish the people cared enough when the Viet Nam vets came home from war.
Yes a very solemn time visiting the wall, in DC or the traveling wall.

Had the great honor to be involved in two (2) of the Vietnam moving wall motorcycle escorts across south Louisiana. While during the escorts had 3ft x 5ft American flag that waved proudly off the rear of the motorcycle at full interstate speed with a state police escort and to see the people on the overpasses / the service roads lined with people / and once on the surface streets all of the people giving support for the troops that we did not see or feel when we came home. Several times come very close to wrecking due to the tears in the eyes from maybe just a small simple sign saying thank you. A total different mindset of the country compared to today. ............ God bless our troops be they past / present / future. ...................... drill sgt.

A little bumparoo.

My offer to Detonics for lunch, stands for anyone else too. If you happen to come visit the wall, let me know, can meet anyone in town at anytime, for lunch, coffee, whatever, on me.
