Does anyone have a reliable source for discontinued Surefire ST0x tape switches??
Surefire used to have a whole line of remote tape switches. Now it seems there down to the 7" and 10" lengths.

The ST07 is the most commonly encountered variation.

I am looking for something shorter, preferably the ST05:

SureFire ST04 Switch Tape w/ 4" Cable (UPC: 084871852869 )
SureFire ST05 Switch Tape w/ 5" Cable (UPC: 084871852753 )
SureFire ST06 Switch Tape w/ 6" Cable (UPC: 084871852760 )

If you have one for sale, please let me know. There are no markings on these switches to distinguish between the different lengths. The ST07 measures 10" length total, from the end of the switch to the tip of the connector, so the ST06 would measure 9" total, the ST05 would measure 8" total, and so forth.

I asked Surefire if they could shorten my ST07 but that's not a service they offer.

Also, possibly looking for a Surefire DS00 in black. Some places show them in stock but it's my understanding that some counterfeits were sold in the states not too long ago, so I'll buy only from a reputable source. B&H Photo, which I trust completely, shows the tan one in stock; the black one, they no longer carry. Optics Planet shows the black one in stock but there's no way in Hell I'd do business with them.

Thanks

Actually, it looks like the ST06 is more what I need.

Para were the switches manufactured in a way that it would be ruined or unserviceable if you tried to disassemble it at the connector end? I’ve never seen one so I’m not sure if it would be destroyed by trying to shorten one yourself. I see they aren’t a $5 item so experimenting could be expensive. It looks like the switch end is all one piece and not an option.
