How does the republican candidate for governor win by a 17 percent margin and Martha McSally end up losing. I know that not everyone votes a straight ticket but that looks to be a huge difference unless Martha McSally was an unlikable person and ran a poor campaign or just did have not enough funds. Then again Ted Cruz only won by 3 points while the Texas governor won by a huge margin though Ted Cruz was out spent by over 2 to 1 by his opponent.

Lots of reasons. Arizona has a very large block of independent voters so a candidate can't depend on straight ticket voting.

Last spring was the whole Red for Ed and teacher's strike. That movement worked hard on promoting David Garcia, the democrat's candidate for governor. Guess what? A lot of Arizonans are still pissed off over the teacher's strike. Not because they are mad at the teachers, but because they made no attempt to hide their politics.

As far as the race for senate, both candidates tried to out McCain the other. Sinema portrayed herself as a moderate reaching across the aisle. McSally's whole campaign was, "Hey look at me I was a fighter pilot!"

This is insane. I guess AZ deserves that crazy bitch who ironically thinks all of them are crazy, but joining the Taliban is cool...

Your vote was counted once and was counted correctly. However, other votes were counted many times incorrectly. Big Grin

Most recent tally with over 100,000 votes to still be counted in at least two major counties. The votes have to be completed this week.

*Sinema at 1,071,280, or 49.6 percent of the total votes cast.

One of her supporters is long time Republican and former State AG Grant Woods. Big surprise, he's announced he'll change parties from Republican to Democrat. He's got a plan for his future, either Governor or another senate seat. Slimy toad.

*McSally at 1,038,988, or 48.1 percent of the vote.

*Green Party candidate Angela Green captured 50,757 votes, representing 2.3 percent.

State School Superintendent and Secretary of State (ie, Lt.Governor position) votes still changing back and forth between the Republican and Democrat candidates. Both Democrats are spawn from the RED4ED movement.

If people would mind their own damn business this country would be better off. I owe no one an explanation or an apology for my personal opinion.

Those numbers are really something else. If they are accurate, the liberal voter (or uniformed) in Arizona seem to greatly out number the reasoned voters. I mean wow. The new Senator from Arizona is going to be this leftist radical Sinema. Unreal.

Pretty much. The (R) generally plays fair and they're very complacent and just want to be left alone. The (D) are driven by money and power and will commit evil acts in the search of them.

There are many reasons for this complacency but we're past the time to wake up.

I'm not so certain that voting will get us out of this mess.

Mark Levin said it the other day that Republicans don't just have to win anymore, they have to win with a such a large margin that none of these bullshit games of "found votes" can be played by the Democrats. Mad

Worse now....

As the vote count continues in Arizona’s Senate race, Democrat Kyrsten Sinema now leads Republican Martha McSally by approximately 30,000 votes. This is up from the 20,000 votes by which she previously led.

Tucson.com reports:

Unless the trend in election returns shifts — and soon — Arizona will get its first Democrat in the U.S. Senate in decades.

And the state Republican Party may be laying the groundwork for a legal challenge to stop that from happening.

New figures Saturday evening show Kyrsten Sinema has amassed 1,048,655 votes. That gives her a lead over Republican Martha McSally that now approaches 30,000.

Just a day earlier, Sinema had a edge of about 20,200.

There are 198,000 ballots left to count, but it doesn’t look good for McSally.

Tucson.com continues:

Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes reports he still has 198,000 ballots to tally. And assuming the current split among Sinema, McSally and Green Party candidate Angela Green continues, Sinema will pick up 99,000 of those to about 95,400 for McSally.

McSally had gained some ground with new reports from several rural counties, but that wasn’t enough to offset how Sinema is doing elsewhere.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Sinema is very anti gun and has repeatedly voted against Arizona pro gun legislation.

The next two years should be interesting.

she also thought it was OK for Americans to join the Taliban and is interested in open borders, sanctuary, amnesty and just about anything else that could be a detriment to the country

in case you missed it, she's the one that wore the pink tutu to the protest march

I do not understand why the governor has not stepped in and ordered an investigation into how many illegals have voted (and who they voted for)

Yeah, with all the shitty things she said, and still, the Republicans could not squeeze out a victory. Disgusting. I understand that McSally is a wishy washy RINO, but she would not have gone against the President all the time. The commie Sinema, however, will be against him 100% of the time, guaranteed.
