The deadline for consolidated 1099's is Feb 15th, 2022.
I have to wait for K-1's anyhow.

The deadline for K-1's is March 15 if the entities year end is Dec. 31, right ?

For instance, I'm waiting on 1099-DIV forms and they have until February 28, 2022.

The sender has until February 28th to file with the IRS. Recipient copies must be postmarked by January 31st.

Nope.

https://tickertape.tdameritrad...-1099-deadline-15591

Tax filing—fact or myth? Your brokerage account’s 1099 form for 2021 must be in the mail by January 31, 2022.

Myth.

Say what? That’s right, a consolidated 1099 form should be postmarked by February 15, 2022, according to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) unless firms file for an extension. Firms that file for Client Tax Form extension will have until March 15, 2022 to postmark the consolidated 1099 form. Actually, that’s been the case for a while now—the 1099 mailing deadline changed starting with the 2008 tax year.

Previously, firms were required to have these forms validated and postmarked by January 31. But that’s no longer true. With the complexity involved in producing consolidated 1099s, the extended deadline gives brokerage firms more time to validate and avoid corrections—something that’s required when funds reallocate their distributions or when securities are purchased in January during an open wash sale window (oh, those pesky wash sale rules).

You might want to check the first link you posted. What I posted about 1099-DIV is accurate.

The due date for form 1065, which is one way a K-1 is generated, is March 15th but an extension can be filed.

Yep. Accountant finished up yesterday. Gave me a discount for being organized. I think it was because my taxes were so easy to do.

In all the years he has been doing taxes, yesterday was a first. The exact amount I owe the federal government, is the exact amount I am getting back from the state. So at the end of the day, I came out to zero.

The IRS's free fillable forms are pretty jacked up. Look at the known software issues on this page https://www.irs.gov/e-file-pro...-fillable-forms-help

The past couple of years I've used the free Credit Karma version.

I haven't decided which way I'll go other than to wait a while.

We visited our CPA Monday and, just as in recent years, we owe about $4K federal and $1K state. We'll pay that a few days before the deadline.

Working on them.

A little more complicated this year.

Looks like we are going to owe a bunch. Thankfully we prepared for the worst and it looks like it wont be "worst"

waiting on Fidelity consolidated statement. They are always late in the game as I've got some foreign holdings and some that have to come through Vangard. No problem, I'm not getting anything back nor should I owe much if any, so if I don't file until 4/15 it's fine with me. Use Turbo Tax.
