Has anyone ever done a package type deal for Spring training?

Looking for a Phillies trip next Spring and like the idea of a package vs scheduling it all piecemeal.

Found this…

https://phillysportstrips.com/.../springtraining2023/

Five grand seems high (2 people)but when I start calculating the individual items, maybe not.

Thought I’d ask if anyone has done package with another company.

I know that hotels are Stupid Expensive in the Spring Training areas while it's going on. Like $350 a night for Holiday Inn Express expensive.

I have gone to spring training for the last 15 years or so.

Started off doing the the package deals.

You usually get a shirt, bag or something like that.

You also get a meal with some of the players with stories and some q&a.

After doing this for a few years, we now book our own trips.

We get better seats, hotels etc.

It takes a little bit more effort setting the trip up but it’s a better experience in my opinion for less money.

If this is your first time, the group experience is fun and allows you to get the lay of the land.

After that you can decide if you want something different and cheaper by doing it yourself.

I’m a Giants fan and Scottsdale is a party.

Thanks…

That’s what we figured, do the package first to get to know the area and such.

Another concern is we are not heavy drinkers. Is the crowd somewhat mixed in age?

The crowd at the Giants Stadium is a mixed bag.

You have a lot of old fans and you have younger fans there to party.

In an odd way you have both older and younger people there to take in the games.

Older because they are retired and spend time in the sunshine. Younger because it’s cheaper than the regular season games.

After the Giants won their championships the stadium is sold out for every game.

When we first started going we could seat pirate and sit right behind home plate for hours.

Now… No way!

Not all parks have the crowds.
