For those not from this area, Whitmoor is a (somewhat) gated community full of fairly affluent people. Houses built around a golf course.

Upper Whitmoor is itself gated. In order to keep the affluent riffraff away, the uber affluent built a gated community within the gated community. Big Grin

I know of which you speak about. Unusual circumstances put me in a role where I met folks with incredible wealth.

Key Takeaways:
* People are strange motherfuckers.
* Money doesn’t create happiness.

Anyways thanks for sharing. Last big house I was in there’s a T-Rex dinosaur Over a glass floor with a pool underneath facing volcano to the south. On a lake.

I’ve seen trophy rooms I would blow most peoples minds (not my bag), although I’m sure a few here I’ve seen just as much if you know big game guys.

It has sold, and the new owner is planning on ripping all of that out to make some more "living space". Apparently the other 20,000 square feet isn't enough. Big Grin

I actually pulled that photo from the listing. You can see the rest here:

The boat was raced in the ocean, I'm assuming in Florida. House is local in Whitmore. He told me that one of the premier fiberglass hull builders is located right here in Wentzville.

MTI in Wentzville. I have a friend that works there.

That house and set up where I live would probably be 15-20 mil. I can't wait to leave this area. 3 yrs and counting.

We wound up buying only a couple of miles from there when we escaped to America. Lots of houses in Whitmoor turned up in our searches. Upper Whitmore I didn't know about, that's seriously funny.

But what I've always been curious about are the really big, really old properties that have apparently never been on the market.

In middle America most people can have a decent middle class life-style without a ton of money.
Less socialism results in more of everything for anyone willing to work. Funny how that works?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I used to go to the boat races every year at the Lake of the Ozarks. Some amazing boats. Lots of fun.

Reminds me of Under Seige. Did you see any Tomahawk missiles or Gary Busey lying around?

There are hundreds of boats this size at the Lake of the Ozarks but not very many in the 200mph club....lots of them 150+ though
