If OSP is waiting on other states for feedback re: background, huge delays follow. Gun store could release, but won't as they're unwilling to face liability subsequent to a denial.

Oregon Firearms Federation

"Under State and Federal law, you may still legally take possession of a firearm if you have been delayed (NOT DENIED) after three business days have “transpired”. However, while this is permitted, it is NOT mandated and few dealers will risk retribution from the ATF and the OSP and transfer under these circumstances."

That's what you would do if you think it's fine for this to continue or get worse.

Honestly, it will get resolved. Lots of stuff is F--ked up right now. It will get done. Probably sooner than later. If you want to make it worse get pissed off and make it worse. You are not going to make it better.
If you want to try to make the system work better do it but not in the middle of something that you are already upset with. Just ride this one out best you can is my advice. I understand if you choose to do otherwise. I just do not think it will help you out in this one. Best of luck. I wish many things were better right now. Better days on the horizon hopefully.

ORC has a point.

It does appear that you have options.

I have no intention of getting in trouble. But I now identify as a squeaky wheel. Going to make some calls and voice my opinion.

Maybe talk to the OFF boys, I always support them. Seems like a collective voice needs to fight back on this. Timely checks dammit.

They may be like a lot of other places where if you're the squeaky wheel, they put your paperwork on the bottom of the pile and you start again.

Contact the 2A Foundation, they love taking on government agencies, if it's a big enough problem and looks like the state is infringing on peoples rights they may step in..
