Now this is good stuff!

DFH's Burton Baton, an Imperial IPA made the old-fashioned way: two "threads" of beer combined to make one delicious drink.
I really can't pick out a lot of oakiness here, but the malt and the bitterness are well-balanced.

Makes a great October afternoon beer.

I went to a different grocery store today that does mix-n-match 6-packs. I was able to pick up 4 brands of Octoberfest that I had not tried this year. First up:

It's delicious

See? I told you that you'd like the Paulaner Marzen more than the Paulaner Wiesn. Wink

I happen to be drinking Paulaner Marzen at the moment too.

We have similar tastes so 2 of 6 were Paulaner based on your recommendation.

Sierra Nevada's is OK but I have better options in my fridge.

Now, onto the bad news - the 2 bottles (from mix-n-match 6 pack) of Hoffbrau's Octoberfest were skunked. I broke my own rule of no purchasing green or clear bottles open to light.

SN changes their Octoberfest recipe every year. So even if you weren't impressed with this year's brew, try again next year.
