His diet consists of black coffee, and sarcasm. |
The red underlining for spell check is benign, sometimes even helpful, but this new blue underlining for grammar and spacing is pissing me off. It interferes with pasting text between [QUOTE] and [FLASH_VIDEO] brackets. I either have to type these manually or fill in the blanks that the underlining erased. Yet another example of something not gauging the intent of the user.

Weird as I'm still seeing red underlining. All feature and quality updates are up to date Win10 Home 64-bit 21H2. No problem here either:

I only get the red underlining once in a while when my typing gets messed up, but never the blue. Perhaps my grammar is good.

https://support.microsoft.com/...de-9096-efd0ee909227 If you don't want Office to check grammar at all (either when running a spell check or automatically as you type), you can turn it off: Open the spelling and grammar options: In OneNote, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, and Word: On the File menu, click Options, and then click Proofing. In InfoPath: On the Home tab, click the arrow next to or under Spelling, and then click Spelling Options. In Outlook: On the File menu, click Options, and click Mail, and then click Spelling and Autocorrect. Clear the Mark grammar errors as you type and Check grammar with spelling check boxes. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Is this in an Office program or on the internet? If it's internet, it could be a browser setting, not Windows. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

if you are using Firefox, on the title bar go to 'Tools' >> 'Settings' >> 'General Settings' >> scroll down to 'Language' and uncheck 'check your spelling as you type'.

Thank you Very little |
Win 10 did another neat change, when you right click for the drop down menu items they moved that whole menu to a sub menu. This moved things to the "Show More Options" menu, like Print, Email, Fax, Open with, Delete, Rename to a secondary menu and it's a PIA. We send out countless PDF files saved to directories to companies and customers, bad enough the previous version did away with the quick menu short cut to send a file by email, now you have to drill down several menus. How the hell are print, email, fax all sub menu items now, who doesn't print, email or fax files on a daily basis... Yeah you can sft-f10 but you still have to select the item first, it's just another step to what should be a prime level feature set..
