HOA? Hands Off Automatic? Don't have one of those here. Also, I give firewood to many neighbors every season so my activities are never an issue. People love it when they see me drive by with my big wood. ----------------------- You can't fall off the floor.

I understand in CA you would have to wear a mask while doing that work even if there was no one within 100 yards. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. Thank you. It's actually in the town I grew up in, the nut doesn't fall far from the tree. When I was a kid the neighborhood area was all woods and fields and we rode our dirt bikes here. I often chuckle to myself as I am unloading firewood, splitting firewood, hanging a deer in my garage, cleaning salmon on a table in the driveway, etc. - It's a great neighborhood filled with caring people, but I'm one of the only ones who does all those things. ----------------------- You can't fall off the floor.

Funny. The two states with the most liberal governments have the most restrictions. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. I heated our first house with wood, split all of by hand with a splitting maul. Built a tall narrow firewood holder with a roof. That wood dried all summer and burned very nicely in the wood stove. I was pretty strong and limber back then. I can split a few pieces these days, then I have to rest and go back to the house and split a few more the next day. It's pitiful. Now my chainsaw is another story, I can run that. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

My uncle has been using a Huskee 22 ton splitter. He really likes it. Said it will split most anything. ----------------- Silenced on the net, Just like Trump

We burn wood to help offset the cost of using our propane furnace. We get a six cord load of 100" Black Ash delivered every year. I work an hour here two there. I consider this my therapy also. But, I split all of mine by hand! Every now and then, I have to whip out a wedge and sledge hammer. Have approx. one hour left of stacking and splitting for the year. Nice job chbibc! I already have more than enough cut and split for next season, actually all my stacks are filled, but I have a big cherry that fell. I'm going out now to see where I can make another covered place. Thinking of cutting some of it up short then split to 1 1/2" sticks to use in my grill? I've never burned wood in it before, only charcoal, so I'll see how this turns out. No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.
