Incredible Deal - Walmart Has Echo PB580T for $255 + tax
I've been looking for a backpack blower for fall clean up for awhile now and have been hesitant on the the prices, but I found this Walmart deal and jumped on it. I was skeptical at first with the price but this is on Walmart site and I checked over the description on the specs and whether or not this is a referb. Looks legit. Shipping is slow. Mine is not arriving till the 27th.

Here is the link for anyone interested.

Looks like a good one. Specs read like it has both hip and tube throttle, that would be a cool feature. I've got an old Kawasaki 70cc backpack with tube throttle that I seldom use anymore but it's moved mountains of leaves in its day. Good luck. Smile

Serious question as I have been considering ( read wife tells me we need one). A leaf blower. How much better is the 1000CFM one for $100 more Vs this one 500CFM. I have many red oak and live oak leaves every fall/winter plus 1+ acre of lawn to mow every other week. Tired of raking.

^^^^ IMO and from actual use if your going to be moving some serious amounts of leaves then more is better.

I live in a old pecan orchard with 5 pecan trees on my small lot with four more close on each side of my lot from neighbors trees who could care less where or when the leaves get taken care of.

Blowing in someone else's yard is just fine. So along with the plums in the spring lots of air is better.

The big backpack blower I have is ideal when also blowing against the wind to direct the leaves where I want them to go.

I also keep my roof blown off year round and wind directing isn't always ideal.

For everything else like just dusting off before and after mowing small er is just fine.

One other thing to consider is weight. As i get older and my worn out knees hurt more and more lighter weight unit would be better on my body.

That linked echo unit is a pretty good deal for what it is.

The unit with the blower and shredder option is a lot better. Than get a larger nylon bag for collecting the ground up leaves.

1000cfm is on par with the largest Stihl and Echo backpack blowers. Those are what lawn crews use for leaf cleanups. The higher CFM rating will move leaves efficiently. Higher MPH are better for clumpy, wet grass or leaves. I'd get the double CFM for only for $100 more if you can handle the weight for the BP blower.
