"Friedman consistently favored use of the term "flying saucer" in his work, saying "Flying saucers are, by definition, unidentified flying objects, but very few unidentified flying objects are flying saucers. I am interested in the latter, not the former." Friedman used to refer to himself as "The Flying Saucer Physicist", because of his degrees in nuclear physics and work on nuclear projects." He will be missed. One of the few that made sense of the UFO phenomenon. Whether you believe in them or not, his discussions and debates on the subject were based on years of his personal research and scientific study. He put it out there and left it for you to decide. He also was known for his debunking of some of the MJ-12 docs, very controversial areas. Much of the info always seemed to good to be true, and he was blasted by many of his critics for producing his evidence indicating otherwise. Personally, I wanted those documents to be truthful, and I believe that some of the info had truth along with the disinformation. I also second his thoughts on the SETI program, I feel that their focus is too narrowly based on the search just for signals. WOW.. Stan along with many other UFO researchers are one of more credible good guys imo, and will be missed by many. RIP Stan. Regards, Will G. | |||
