do you sit in a fast food window line that has 15 or twenty cars in it for lunch?

3 or 4 and I'll wait.
If I really need it or want it and there's more vehicles than that, I'll go inside.
McDonald's is a weakness of mine.

fpuhanNever.
Fast food is a bane on civilization. I'll give the Europeans credit for recognizing the importance of taking food seriously, and enjoying companionship while eating. My last experience with European cars impressed me with the lack of cup holders -- you want something to drink? Pull over to a gasthaus and enjoy something before hitting the road again.
What's so G*****n important that you have to rush through an artery-clogging, deep-fried abomination that only remotely resembles food, anyway?
You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

old rugged crossI hear you guys. I was astounded when I drove by a Wendy's and saw a line of cars wrapped completely around the place. Crazy.
I do not get to town often.

mikeyspizzaI don't do drive-thru. I'll order via mobile but go in to get it. I want to see them and want them to see me. Plus, I've several times been on the receiving end of "would you like this frappuccino (or whatever) we made by mistake?"

Scuba Steve SigIt never wins for me to go inside. When I do it turns out they have 90% of the employees and resources attributed to the drive through. I've noticed a negative byproduct of the ultralow unemployment rate is the understaffing of fast food restaurants. There are many better paying jobs out there with better working conditions. Chik Fil A is the exception, they must pay those people $40K/yr or their employees REALLY want Sundays off.

mark60I don't typically do fast food or drive thru's but 3 or 4 is the most I'd consider.

Let me assure you that the line was due to ineptitude not demand....

YooperSigsI will use the drive thru from time to time. I avoid peak times and rarely wait more than a couple of cars. If its too busy, I bail.
Culvers is my favorite here in the Yoop. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Pretty good fast food experience.

jimmy123xIf there's more than 5 cars I just go inside or elsewhere usually. I once got stuck in a Pollo Tropical drive thru that you can't get out of for 30 minutes at lunch time and there were only 4 cars in front of me.

ridgeratIf there is more than ONE car at the order-mic, I go inside, or go elsewhere. (Unless there is nothing else around)

sjtillMy experience has been very good with CFA and In-N-Out Burger. I'd love to own the In-N-Out franchise at Mira Mesa and Westview Parkway. Always busy day and night.

SIGGUY (THE 1ST)I wouldnt do it. I actually rarely ever do fast food anymore. A number of reasons why, not hungry nor the time. If I were going to hit a fast food Id go in to take the time to use the lavatory, then order. If in the case I was going to do a drive thru if there were more than 4 cars, Id just leave.

In the summer, returning from a day of pickin' and grinnin' (more like staring at our shoes and frowning), I'll hit a McD's which has virtually no foot traffic. Saturday night it is literally grease-dripping, mouth-burning perfection.
And on road trips, coffee and sausage biscuits or double hamburgers plain.
But this whole concept of "lunch"? No, I eat when I'm hungry and I don't when I'm not. Th'Man ain't not tamed me just yet.
