Looking for a good weather app
What's the best weather app that I can use when traveling cross country? I'm planning a motorcycle trip out west in June/July and would like a weather app that's ore reliable than the one I'm currently using. The weather app I'm using now is linked to a local news channel and it's OK but would like something a bit more accurate

When I was still driving over the road, I used Storm Radar by the Weather Channel. It was really accurate; I could leave New York and know when I needed to be at certain mountain passes out west to get across before the snow closed them.

I use WeatherBug.

I've been using the Accuweather app and it seems to work well and is easy to use.

Here’s a drill. Go 4-6 days out on the weather, then hawk it.

Longer range forecasts get adjusted all the time, go to historic averages.

I've been using Weawow since I read about in a similar thread. Very visually attractive and customizable. Plenty of widgets. Several weather providers available.

I paid the $3 for a lifetime subscription to WTF Weather. Best weather app I have ever had. It tells the weather pretty accurately, and gives some pretty inappropriate comments about the weather.

interesting thread

I used to have weatherbug on an older phone and was told it was pretty much spyware so I've not given it a second thought in well over a decade

Ventusky seems pretty good - like the wind pattern chart - very accurate

I use weather bug now. I had been using weather channel for over a decade, but they changed something that made it unusable now. Been using the bug one for a few months, just wish I could find something like the old weather channel one

And here I thought I'd be the only one deranged enough to use that!

Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

I too use Weawow. Also have Windy for storm details.

I use the NWS hourly forecast app. It is easy to use and is the most accurate for your travel needs.
I use WUNDERGROUND (Far Ranging), RADAROMEGA (Close in) and RADARSCOPE for radar.
I subscribe to 10-12 different weather apps and those are the ones I use most often.
