Household Cleaning Chemicals - Are there any that don't stink?

2AdefenderHousehold Cleaning Chemicals - Are there any that don't stink?
I have allergies and am somewhat sensitive to chemical odors and heavy perfumes. When Buckhead Betty comes in and sits down near me in a restaurant, marinating in heavy perfume, it just about makes me fall out of my chair.
So yesterday, the Mrs. is cleaning the house, using some kind of spray bottle bathroom cleaning solution that smells so strong, it makes my toes curl.
I would like to find a household cleaning solution that doesn't have a strong chemical odor that will stink up the whole house. It has to be something that is widely available, not something you can only get at a small organic store in Boulder or Seattle.
Can anyone suggest something that would fit the bill? Thanks for your help.

arfmelYou can use diluted white vinegar for cleaning stuff, if you can tolerate the aroma.
Murphy's Oil Soap doesn't have a strong smell.
Bon Ami or Barkeeper's Friend scouring powder.
A company called "Seventh Generation" makes a variety of unscented, less chemical cleaning products, too. Places like Whole Foods carry their line of products.
Just walking down the grocery aisle where the detergents are makes me sneeze and tear up, so I know what you're dealing with. I hate perfumes.

ArtieSFind your local Shaklee Products Distributor. They make concentrated, allergy free, no to low scent cleaning products.
I'd use them, but my SO is not willing to do the concentrate thing. She wants to grab, spray and be done.

2AdefenderGood suggestions, please keep then coming. I don’t think she would mind mixing from a concentrated liquid, but I doubt she would want to use powdered cleaners.
I’ve heard of Simple Green. I’ll check that out.

IndianaBoyI share your affliction.
Most cleaners will give me a mild headache if I spend more than a few minutes smelling them.
My wife sprayed some kind of leather conditioner on her purse once and I had to leave the house.

Buy concentrate. Mix it down and put it in spray bottle. Leave spray bottle where she can find it.

henryaz Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, with a dash of dish detergent, makes a good cleaner. I use about 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 12-16 oz H2O2, and a few drops of detergent in a spray bottle.

2AdefenderThe Mrs. picked up a bottle of Seventh Generation to try. I am also going to buy a bottle of Simple Green. Thank you for all the suggestions!
