I can’t help but think that many of these “retirements” etc are people getting out before their closet skeletons are exposed.
It’s a swamp for sure.

BBMWOr he just sees the writing on the wall. Republicans are not so popular in California right now.

MitchbSCDid any of Issa's show trials result in anything?
I figured Nunes and Gowdy were carrying the torch now for a reason.

justjoeThey are all-- Gowdy, Issa, and I suspect Nunes-- part of the swamp. Their function is to make it seem like something is happening, or really about to happen. They are incensed! Outraged! Really pissed! All smoke and mirrors.
Sundance at Conservative Treehouse has pointed out just how Gowdy's income has skyrocketed in the past few years.
Latest example of how he talks out of both sides of his mouth: his panties are all in a wad about Comey!!!...and and Huma!!!...and and...Clinton Foundation!!!...and and --But: "I think that Mueller is doing a good job."
Say whaaaaa?

JALLENI’m surprised Issa has lasted this long. He is the wealthiest member by far, self made, and thevlimitations on Congressxand the cat herding required must be intolerable. An example of Gresham’s Law when the Issas bail and the Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lees remain.
