selogicWoman, 22, is left HORRIFIED after getting fired from her first-ever job after just FIVE DAYS
Word to the wise ... it's not just HR that looks at your social media . HR sent us resumes for 6 prospective candidates for a position we needed to fill . Myself and the two other foremen , along with the supervisor were going over the resumes to decide which ones were worth interviewing . Our supervisor started looking at their Facebook pages . He even made some comments about some of the wives .. That came back to bite him in the ass later .

LoboGunLeather30-odd years ago I struggled with new employees who, despite high school diplomas and many with college degrees, could not read or write at a junior high school level, were incapable of basic mathematics, and lived soap opera lives that constantly interfered with the working day.
The only thing that has improved is that I am retired and no longer forced to be a babysitter for grown ups who claimed they wanted a job but proved incapable of showing up every day, on time, doing what they promised to do, finishing what they started, or made any effort to get along with other people.
In 2004 I actually became physically ill for a few months, if not actually having to fire someone every day I was constantly spending much of my time documenting the issues, counselling, warnings, corrective action plans, etc.
I'm an old guy. I'm still stuck with the notion that your job has to be one of the top priorities in your life. Today's new hires see the job only as a place to show up when they feel like it and kill a little bit of time between paydays.
Now turn off your damn smart-ass phone, get to work, and save your stupid excuses for your grandmother who still loves you.
