So I took the wife to her Dr appointment today and we had just left and was about to get on the highway.
When this lawyer that was in a BIG hurry decided I was in his way.
Well he clipped my bumper and went to drive away.
He's paying me for the damage out of pocket.

Oh how aggravating. Did it seem like he would have driven away if you hadn’t called him out?

Glad he finally stopped and he's going to take responsibility for his impatience and lack of skill.

BTW, it looks like you have a taxi cam as it's recording the inside of the car. I have a dual camera set-up that simultaneously records front windshield and rear window cameras. Texas requires front license plates so I should capture their license plate if someone hit me like they did you.

Oh, please do tell. I need to get a camera system, and yours looks like a good one. I can even recognize you standing at El Esquire's window!

I have a front and rear camera system. I would like to have a 360 system, but it was cost prohibitive.

After my Fiesta was totaled, I was lucky to have 2 witnesses back my story. Makes me want to get dual cameras in both cars.

The camera isn't that expensive.
There are less expensive ones.
Mine was $150.

This is very similar to the one I have.

So what's stopping you?

They're cheap insurance. People are shit and will lie every time.

After my buddy got t-boned by a lady running a red light, his dash cam recording made easy work of his legal work.

He had a Garmin Mini 3, which I now do too. Easy peasy to install, and usually on sale around $100.

It's on my to-do list.
Need to just bite the bullet & order a pair of dual setups.

I don't understand with how carmakers seem to want to cram their cars with every kind of sensor and device and doohicky that they seem COMPLETELY not interested in any sort of built-in dash cameras. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Confused

That and something I mentioned to my wife the other day, how is it we STILL don't have turn signals that either cancel out after say 2 minutes or warn you they are still on? We watched a guy go down the highway this past weekend for like 18 miles with his turn signal on and marveled at how truly clueless/unaware a lot of people are.

We had an older Dodge Caravan that would nag if the turn signal was on for too long.

IIRC, my dad's 02 Chevrolet 2500HD would start dinging at you if you drove too long with the blinker on.

I completely agree. My Yukon has cameras that cover every angle, but no way to record. It doesn't seem like it would be particularly difficult to add that feature.
