A few random things, I’ll let you make sense of it.

I’ve been dealing with what was suspected a muscle issue in my left thigh for a couple,of weeks. Really really hurt about 24 hours ago, A big nope.Went to the ER around 5 AM, kidney stone, big one. Got stented and released fifteen hours later. Hip and femur pain gone.

Sunday afternoon on the way home from work got into a political argument on the phone with a friend of 45 years, he hung up on me. I phoned him from the recovery room and said (Don’t know if you’re still pissed at me (exact verbiage used!) but I’m in the recovery room and I thought hou should know”. (We’re good now.) I feel better now since I spoke to him, we’ve been friends too many years to be at odds.

My lost/misdirected USPS package with the red/orange sight post (M16 Hydramatic tribute rifle) found its way here today. Also another Bulova Accutron circa 1973 also arrived in the mail today.

Still haven’t had a chance to shoot my last BHP I got a week ago. I can’t drive until later today, 24 hours. While I was able to have my wife’s DD, the Liberty’s crossover cats/pipe repaired last Thursday my Wrangler is about two weeks out for the rusted corner repair.

My S/O S&W competitor is in transit.

And a Baby Browning circa 1967 WITH the soft case and factory paperwork that we made a purchase offer on last week was sold to the store. One of the guys called me. I sent him a photo of me in the room saying “Obviously I can’t make it in today”

Yep, just what I (don’t) need, called one of the managers, it’s in layaway for me.

Edited: afraid that I’d have to go back to the ER but now it looks good.
What a 24 hours…..

Thank you. Very melancholy right now. At least I got in a couple hours sleep on the couch and about two sharing the bed with my wife and the Pitty.

The Pitty actually let me have my side! Presently under the care of two felines, one on the couch and one at my feet. Take home instructions only said a responsible adult should be nearby, they didn’t specify what species of adult but I do hear the spouse awakening.

And hot tea and honey, first liquid of the day. Pancakes and blueberry syrup is on the horizon today.

I haven’t had a kidney stone and I hope I never do. I wish you the best on your recovery.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I learned something new today. I knew kidney stones frequently cause back pain, but didn't know about leg pain.

Mom and Dad both had kidney stones caused by sodas. It was bad enough experience that both quit drinking sodas. I'm a coffee and unsweet tea guy and part of the reason is avoiding the kidney stones they had.

Interestingly enough, Mom did find a tumor faster than a non kidney stone patient would have. Her kidney stones had to be blasted (ie Lithotripsy) so periodically they did ultrasounds on her kidneys looking for stones forming. One year, they found an ovarian growth 2" diameter by 5" long and she had to have surgery. Doc said most people only discover it because it gets so big that it makes the stomach smaller. It turned out to be benign, but gave us a good scare.

tatortodd,

Working albeit part time in an adult toy shop has its advantages.

This pain radiated from about mud left buttock outer down my femur with a corresponding reduction as it got loser to my knee. It would start to hurt while laying on the couch and in bed, I’d have to stand to abate it.

The Urgent Care I went to, actually a doctor and not a PA prescribed prednisone and muscle relaxer
Which gave some relief but I decided to see an orthopedic doctor a week ago Friday. Went through his tests, movement looked good and no pain as he had me do some flex and bends. He prescribed hydrotherapy initially, my daughter works at a school system pool that has Silver Sneakers.

So last Wednesday I was in the pool for a half hour, hurt all that evening, thought I just overdid it that day.

Worked only 6 or so hours Sunday, I was ok, but about 11:30 I started hurting so I took the muscle relaxer and went to bed. About 4:30 the pain got worse and that’s when I went to the ER.
