About two hours ago my son walked across the stage and became an official 68W. We got back to the hotel and I gave him his goodies. He was completely unaware of the Leatherman Raptor but quickly fell in love with it once he started playing with it. But the best moment (and a shining example of the wisdom at SIGforum) had to be when he tore the corner off the last package and exclaimed “Oh shit!!! Littmann!!!!”

So thank you all very much for helping me find a good, lasting, relevant and useful gift for my son.

Wonderful news.

For those of us not in the know what is a 68W...an MOS, and what's the reference to Littman mean?

Thanks.

My bad. 68W = Combat Medic. Littmann makes stethoscopes, in this case a Classic III.
