I am woefully inadequate in much of what you guys have posted, so just go ahead and write me off as useless.

I confess to being a city boy of the fairly modern age who is squeamish and never hunted. (I'm not too bad a pistol shot, though....)

I saw this list many years ago. Many on the list have already been covered. But some are really good skills to have:

If I recall, you have spent close to 80 years on this planet. Silly skills lists aside, I'd say you've managed to survive quite well.

Meant to convey physical fitness and coordination. It's no small feat of eye hand coordination to hit a thrown ball, throwing a ball can lead to throwing a life line to a drowning man, catching a ball can lead to catching a can of beer thrown across a crowded garage.

Okay, that makes sense, especially the beer can part. Big Grin

(You can probably tell I suck at sports involving balls...)

Basic throwing and catching skills are becoming a lost "skill". I'm surprised at the amount of kids nowadays that cant catch, throw, or even run non-awkwardly.

Public Speaking Skills are important...also, being able to share ideas coherently, as well as listen to the ideas of others.

Ability to take and use criticism without crying.

I see a LOT of this (bolded part). Working with teenaged neighbor and grandson, you have to PRY the details of an idea out of them word by word to get a picture of what they have in mind. And that's face-to-face. Fuggedaboud doing it in writing.

I was born 80 years ago and I've never been any good at throwing, catching, or running. I've always sucked at every sport and I just quit trying.

MNSIG, it is true that I've survived for now 80+ years, and have been fairly successful at it. I have done so in the environment of civilization, however--I'd probably do poorly in more crude circumstances.
