They want to interrupt tv programs to let us know that they don't know anything, but they really want to be on tv. Then! They put their panel of experts friends on TV to let them tell you that they don't know anything either, But They know people who know stuff But They can not discuss it because it's an on going investigation. Stay tuned to watch many more asshat idiots who proclaim that they also don't know anything. But,! It's been 25 minutes and they really want to be on tv , For any reason, Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should |
Get the widow on the set, we want Dirty Laundry. CNN and others went all in on that last night over the shooter and clearly had no new news or accurate news. Doesn't really matter to them, it's just about ratings and advertising dollars. Try to keep people from changing the dial. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

I've long referred to the "news" on TV as "poorly-scripted reality TV." Investigative reporting is long dead. They don't report anything other than what they're told, which they pass on with obviously zero scrutiny. They pay so little attention to what they're regurgitating they occasionally follow one "news" item with another that's contradictory. (Me: "Waitaminute. Didn't they just say...?" Wife: "They did." Me: "But..." *sigh*... "never mind.") Don't even get me started on the chyons with misspelled or the wrong words. We turn to a 10 o'clock "news" show at the end of the evening, primarily for the weather forecast. Screen comes up red, with a "breaking news" banner, and most times it's Yet Another Shooting In Detroit. (They're nearly always in Detroit.) These are usually: A child shooting a sibling or friend with an unsecured firearm they found, a domestic incident (usually a jilted boyfriend/baby daddy), somebody came back to a bar/restaurant/club/party with a gun after an argument, or a random drive-by for no readily-apparent reason. Then there's the occasional shooting at the funeral for a shooting victim. It's such a regular occurrence it no longer qualifies as "breaking news," IMO. "Breaking news," IMO, would be a night where there was no shooting violence in the City of Detroit. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system,,,, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe "If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living." -- Seneca the Younger, Roman Stoic philosopher
