I have the first 125 or so books of the Destroyer series and even though it wasn’t cannon, really enjoyed Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. I’ve long thought that with modern CGI that more movies or even a TV series could be awesome.

Indeed. Slight thread drifts. Even worse, in 1988 they tried to revive the story for TV, with Roddy McDowell taking over for Joel Gray. I actually watched the pilot which did not do well enough to warrant a full series, and remember being appalled at how bad it was.
