You mind sharing the name of the drug? If not that is Ok too.
It was Lorzone 750 which is a pretty specialized muscle relaxant meant to be long-term and because it’s non-sedating people in oil & gas can take it during work hours (extensive list on what we cannot take within 8 hours of working).

Timeline:
  • May 13th started Lorzone
  • May 30th liver function tests normal
  • {hindsight} June 15th what appeared to blood in urine sent me down a 14 day urology path. No blood detected, negative culture test, other urinalysis tests were negative, no kidney stones on CT scan, nothing found in cystoscopy. Instructions were follow up if major change occurred. In hindsight, it was the bilirubin in liver enzymes causing red tint to urine.
  • june 28 thru July 10 - extremely tired and “not bouncing back”
  • july 11 - 12 nausea and vomiting which I thought was food poisoning from shrimp
  • july 13 had 4 non-symptomatic hours so thought I was finally “bouncing back”
  • july 14 had 4 non-symptomatic hours again and then puked bile all over myself while driving. Went to ER and liver function tests were 100x higher than May 30th
  • july 15 admitted to hospital directly from ER
  • july 17 discharged from hospital and all indications are no permanent liver damage

I’m not saying Lorzone is a bad prescription drug, but it’s bad for me and the other meds (cholesterol, bp, and allergy) my liver was processing. I’ll never be able to take it again and will have to work with gastroenterologist to add back prescriptions and supplements (can’t even take a multivitamin while my liver heals). I haven’t been consuming alcohol since January (dietary decision) but once my liver heals I’ll have to be careful with it for the rest of my life.

Frankly, stories like the OP posted about unnamed prescription meds in “all-natural” supplements made in China scares the shit out of me.

Thanks for sharing that information. There are frequent instances in which people attempt to kill themselves using Tylenol with Codeine. It is seldom fatal but the Tylenol has caused them irreparable liver damage.

I did not know that there were limitations on which drugs you could take in your line of work. The FAA has rules for Air Traffic Controllers for which drugs they can take. For example, they cannot take the new migraine drug Aimovig until it has been on the market for a year. Antidepressants are also not allowed.

Glad you are OK. I mean if you were out of the picture who would run the Football poll and cheer for the Boilermakers??

In high school a story went around about a guy who injected cocaine into his apparatus. More than simple priapism ensued; infection occurred; his resulting amputation may have saved the gene pool from further corruption.

In other news, Jockey brand prosthesis peni marketed to the masses.
