Many folks who learned English as a second language tend to try to use it properly. It came to my attention when I was once corrected in it's usage.

My personal pet peeve is the interchangeable usage of "morals" and "ethics"

Addendum: I had to look up pettifogging to discover that it was indeed a real word. Interestingly the example given involved attorneys Wink

Here's a thought experiment:

Fly to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and rent a car.
Slap on a "Fuck You" bumper sticker, drive around the city for an hour and see if you can get back to your hotel without being arrested and fined.

Now, slap on a "Fuck Muhammed" bumper sticker, drive around the city for an hour and see if you can get back to your hotel alive.
