There are worse things. Just do some self-reflection on how important certain things are to you such as quality football and your love of snow.

I wouldn't move to any big city, period.

Lived in the area for about 18 months. Wouldn't hesitate to live there again for the right job opportunity.

Screw the blue.
Seriously though, Westlake is a nice area, far enough out of the city.

Would have no interest in living there - but I am spoiled living in coastal NH.

Any city that would change it's 106 year tradition of naming the baseball team the Indians to the Guardians would have to be ruled right out, and I'm not a baseball fan per se.

Cleveland sucks. I wish we'd give it to Pennsylvania, let them deal with it.

We did that last December. It’s a bit eclectic, but there’s no snow in the winter, the McDonald’s just opened, and there’s going to be a brand new Buc-ee’s at the next exit north on I-75. I’ve purchased enough gas at the Circle-K that I’m now in the inner circle.

As far as the one in Ohio, sure I’d live there. I’m sure there’s plenty of nice areas that would be just like living in any other suburban area in the Midwest. And Cedar Point.

One of the worst places I ever lived. I moved there for a job and it was a huge mistake. I couldn’t wait to move away.

The other half has family outside of cleveland
(Mentor, Brook Park, etc..)

Cleveland proper--
I would move there for a job, in fact I applied a couple of times for the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

Back in the day I applied to Cleveland PD twice but never even got a thanks but no thanks.

I am bias though, I was born and raised in Columbus.

I would definitely live in the Westlake area though.

Would this be a major career move for you? Just to move there to move there would seem like a big time mistake.

Westlake is still one of the "good" suburbs of Cleveland. If you don't have to go to Cleveland, don't. lol.

I live in broadview hts which is the south end. It's still decent. Westlake is the west end.

Everything you need would be in westlake or just outside. No need to ever come into Cleveland unless you need Cleveland Clinic or University Hospitals.

Not minority enough!

I lived in Warren when I was a kid. Cleveland is an upgrade.

Why are you asking? Whether or not you should move to Cleveland depends on why you're moving. I wouldn't move to any big city anywhere but if the reasons are justified find a nice place outside the city and commute into the city if you have too.
