uvahawkBefore deciding on setting up a Delaware Corporation, you may want to Google recent cases in the Chancery Court of Delaware which has prompted major corporations to reconsider Delaware as a venue. The state legislation is attempting to revise portions of the Delaware code governing corporations. I believe that a case involving Elon Musk was the catalyst. Decades ago, Delaware was a solidly Republican state which started going to the left in the late 60s with the defeat of a Republican governor and the election in 1972 of a Democratic Senator, Joe Biden!

More detailed info is needed. If your corporation physically remains in any state you will still have to register & pay taxes in that state. Ask your CPA before you set up a Delaware Corp.

220-9erWhy and what type of corp.?
The answer to that is probably better answered by a CPA or tax attorney in your state.

I would change the CPA or tax attorney to CPA
and tax attorney. They can take a different perspective which can be a good thing.

downtownvS Corp.
NJ is raising any corporate fees to the point of forcing small businesses to leave. The governor wants corporate taxes to pay for NJ Transit, which is a croney-managed money pit. I am micro potatoes but big pharma is ready to bolt under this ass wipes progressive insanity. Small businesses are following suit.

220-9erSounds like a need to actually relocate to another, friendlier state, not just the state of incorporation, to achieve your goal.
If you still have your business there then you still have to file taxes there for the portion of your business done in New Jersey and they’ll get you then.
