It's National Corvette Day!
On this day in 1953 the first Corvettes were sold. To paraphrase the Grateful Dead, "What a long great trip it's' been."
Get 'em out and drive 'em!

I was a Corvette owner for 22 years. It was fun while it lasted but in retrospect I should have quit after the first one.

I really liked the looks of the originals.

I'd love to, but the weather is not cooperating. Despite my earlier reservations, I absolutely LOVE driving that thing with the top down.

Tomorrow is looking good tho and I need to run up and check to see if the local strawberry stand is open yet.

This 1966 Marlboro Maroon Convertible with Marlboro Maroon interior has been a personal favorite

Wish I still had it

It had a great combination of Factory options

PS, PB, PW, AM/FM radio and A/C

One of these days...

I've always like the profile of the C6. Every once and a while I catch myself looking at Z06 prices for that generation. But I know what my wife will say: "First you have to sell that last Porsche of yours," which she know I will never do (sigh).

^^^ That's cool! I like the cowboy action shooting too!

I have a soft spot for the 1982 Corvette. It was the last model made in St. Louis before they moved production to Kentucky.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
